Phillip is a highly respected business leader with global experience. He holds degrees in Physics and Mechanical Engineering from Grinnell College and Washington University, respectively (both in the USA). His senior management experience spans telecommunications, information technology, and management consulting. In 2008, he led Zain (which later became airtel) to become one of the market leaders in the Ghanaian telecommunications industry. Philip was also a founding member and first chairman of the Governing Council of the Ghana Telecoms chamber. Philip Sowah is currently a partner with Nubuke Business and Investment Advisory, where they consult for government and private institutions. He is a team player and an empowering leader who sits on the boards of Barclays Bank Ghana, Unilever Ghana, and M-Pharma (a pharmaceutical tech startup). He's received many prestigious awards, including 2 'CEO of the year' awards from Mobile world's Ghana telecoms awards.
